What is the APK?

APK stands for Algemene Periodieke Keuring, the general periodic inspection. It's the Dutch equivalent of an MOT. The RDW, the Dutch vehicle authority, decides when each car is due. Without a valid APK, the car is not allowed on the road.

When can I get my APK done?

Up to two months before it expires, without losing any days: the new date counts from your old expiry date.

Can I drive with an expired APK?

No. Without a valid APK your car isn't allowed on the road and you risk a fine.

How much does an APK cost?

It depends on the car. Send us your plate on WhatsApp and you'll get the price upfront.

Which languages do you speak?

English, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish and Japanese. We explain everything in whichever language is easiest for you.
